Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has insisted that Brexit will prove beneficial to the UK.
Appearing before the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Johnson said Brexit meant “restoring our democracy and control of our borders”.
He said it was not “a mandate for this country to turn in on itself and haul up the drawbridge or to detach itself from the international community.”
